Bespoke Metal Art in Droxford

Set into the sloping garden of a period cottage in Droxford, this commission transformed a quiet garden into a focal sequence of sculptural metalwork and functional landscape pieces. Working closely with the client and their landscape designer, we conceived a series of bespoke elements that respond to the site’s intimate scale, native planting and Hampshire light.

Key features:

  • A corten-steel globe water feature that acts as a beautiful centre piece for the garden.

  • A unique banded sphere, fabricated with corten that sits within a beautiful cow-parsley meadow.

  • A pair of corten geomatric style obelisks that stand tall amonst the greenery of the garden.

  • A woven corten fenced area that sections off the raised beds.

Materials and finish were selected for durability and low maintenance while allowing the work to settle into the vernacular: corten for its evolving rust tones, and hand-finished steel accents to tie the pieces together visually. All elements were fabricated in our Chichester based workshop, trial-assembled, and delivered to site for final setting and adjustment with minimal disruption to the planting.

The result is a calm, cohesive composition of metalwork that reads as both art and utility.
